McNeil

The first weekend of October, our speech and debate students opted not to attend ACL in favor of competing at the McNeil TFA tournament!

This was the first tournament for a bunch of our novices! We are so proud of Dina, Joy, Lena, Rebecca, Tyler, and Hunter for attending their first debate tournament!

On the public forum side, Amanda Kromer won top speaker in novice PF!

Our varsity team of Rosemary Spindler and Parker Benko advanced to finals and placed 2nd!!

Our Lincoln-Douglas debaters, Milo Tyler and Nate Watkins had a good weekend! Milo went 3-1 in prelims, only losing one round!

Nate advanced to finals and placed 1st!!

In congressional debate, Emmy Ward, Henry Dieringer, and Gabi Avramova all advanced to finals!

Henry placed 5th!

Gabi placed 3rd!!

We also had three domestic extemporaneous speaking finalists!

Kendall Meachum placed 6th!

Colin McGowan placed 5th!

Salomé Casey placed 4th!

Nate Hadavi competed in prose and placed 5th in the finals round!
